After graduating this past May 2023, I am still at Gallaudet University, working for a short period in the Office of International Affairs as an IT/Projects Coordinator. I will return to my home country, Ghana, in September 2023. There, I will resume work as an IT instructor at Mampong Senior High/ Technical School for the Deaf. At the same time, I will implement a Deaf leadership training and capacity building project that I am currently preparing. My two years’ study at Gallaudet University was a wonderful experience. I gained new and fresh knowledge, built friendships and networks that will last long into the future, and feel better equipped to lead in lobbying for the improvement of living standards for the Deaf in Ghana, Africa, and the world. |
