EXPLANATION OF BASIC COSTS:
Health Insurance Fee: Once per academic year fee to provide health insurance coverage.
Health Services Fee: Once per academic year fee for full-time undergraduate and graduate students to access Gallaudet’s Student Health Services clinic.
Student Activities Fee: Allows full-time students to engage in campus activities for students.
Technology Fee: Managed by Gallaudet Technology Services (GTS), covers the cost of technology devices (e.g., iPad Pro with Pencil, Macbook Air with M1 Chip, or other devices).
* Board: Estimated costs for meals.
**Tuition: Reflects the international surcharge at 100 percent for non-developing countries and 50 percent for students from developing countries.
Note: Tuition and fees are subject to change.
The Education of the Deaf Act (EDA) and ensuing regulations from the United States Department of Education require that international students attending Gallaudet University pay a tuition surcharge of either 50% or 100%, depending on their country of citizenship. This is because there are two different fee structures: one for non-developing countries and one for developing countries. Note that this does not apply to ELI tuition fees.
