SEVIS Fee Guide for F-1 and J-1 Students

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires the collection of a one-time fee of $350 (F-1) or $220 (J-1) from certain international students and visiting scholars. The fee is required to cover operational costs of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). This fee is not paid to Gallaudet University but to the Department of Homeland Security.
