Mission: The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), a unit of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), builds on the University’s tradition of bilingual, diverse, and multicultural institution of higher education that ensures the intellectual and professional advancement of deaf and hard of hearing individuals, serves as a resource for easing international students' transition to life in the United States and at Gallaudet University from their time of arrival to full integration into academics and campus services, and educating, advocating and training while maintaining compliance with U.S. federal regulations governing international education.
